The Refugee and Migrant Community Integration Programme provides a structured, rights-based approach to helping individuals fleeing conflict and hardship rebuild their lives with dignity. The programme outlines key services, protection mechanisms, and community-level interventions needed to improve social inclusion, strengthen access to essential support, and expand pathways to education, wellbeing, and socio-economic participation.
This work was contributed to by Elias Sahardid, Governance, Equality, and Protection Specialist, whose experience includes refugee integration, safeguarding, community cohesion, and multi-agency coordination. His contributions strengthened case management, enhanced access to housing, education, and healthcare, and supported more inclusive systems that improve outcomes for displaced and marginalised communities.
The project provides tailored support that helps refugees and migrants overcome barriers to education, employment, and social inclusion. Our experts design and implement community-based programmes that strengthen resilience, build local capacity, and promote coexistence between host communities and newcomers. The approach integrates protection, skills training, psychosocial support, livelihood development, and partnership building with local authorities, NGOs, and service providers.
Established community-based integration programmes delivering essential services and support.
Developed training pathways linking refugees and migrants to employment and livelihood opportunities.
Strengthened collaboration between local communities, institutions, and migrant groups.
Enhanced access to education, language support, and social participation for vulnerable populations.
Implemented protection mechanisms supporting dignity, safety, and equal access to services.
Our work has contributed to stronger, more cohesive communities where refugees and migrants can actively participate and contribute. Individuals gain confidence, skills, and independence, while host communities benefit from increased social harmony and economic engagement. The project promotes long-term development by turning challenges into opportunities and empowering people to build stable, productive futures.
